IPQ promotes World Metrology Day

On May 20, the IPQ co-organized an event with a national impact to celebrate World Metrology Day, under the theme "The International System of Units - Fundamentally Better", which marks the entry into force of the revision of the System Adopted at the 26th General Conference of Weights and Measures as a universal and coherent system of units, with the primary objective of ensuring the traceability of units of measurement to the highest level of rigor and accuracy, guaranteeing and perfecting the needs of society.

 

This event is co-organized by the IEP, RELACRE, CATIM, SPMet and ISEP.

 

The program includes the presence of the BIPM Director (Martin Milton), the President of the OIML CIML (Roman Schwartz), as well as national and foreign representatives of the Academy, in particular the Sir Peter Knight of the NPL.
